The country's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with interruptions to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a minor was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has requested "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets attacked the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
